Analysis of carbendazim and thiabendazole in Fruits and Vegetables with QuEChERS method
1、Extraction
15 g homogeneous sample add 15 mL acetonitrile, shaken vigorously for 1 min, add ProElut QuEChERS extraction salt (Cat. #64520) (6 g MgSO4+1.5 g CH3COONa), shaken vigorously for 1 min, centrifuged for 5 min at 6000 rpm, let the acetonitrile and water stratified.
2、Purification
Transfer 8 mL of the supernatant into 15 mL ProElut QuEChERS clean-up tube(Cat. #64502) (400 mg PSA+1200mg MgSO4), vortex-mixed for 1 min, centrifuged for 2 min at 8000 rpm; the supernatant was analyzed by HPLC after filtered through a filter.
3、Chromatographic conditions
Chromatographic column:Diamonsil C18(2) 250 x 4.6 mm ID, 5 μm (Cat. #99603)
Flow Rate:1.0 mL/min
Injection Volume:20 μL
Detector:UV 288 nm
Column Temp:30 ºC
Mobile Phase:phosphate buffer solution / CH3CN =75/25;
Phosphate Buffer Solution:0.01 mol/L Sodium dihydrogen phosphate and 0.01 mol/L Disodium hydrogen phosphate Solution, pH=7.20
*The target compound was detected by HPLC in this method, but the compound is also
sensitive to other equipments. The experimenter can use the sample pretreatment adopted in this method when using other ways.
4. The results of additive recovery (Cucurbita pepo L.)
Compounds | Add concentration (mg/kg) | Recovery(%) | RSD(n*=3)% |
Carbendazim | 0.25 | 87.3 | 2.4 |
| 1.0 | 85.4 | 2.0 |
Thiabendazole | 0.25 | 96.2 | 1.2 |
